- building up endurance (higher and higher weekly mileage)
- swimming longer and longer without my wetsuit
- swimming alone with a boat/kayak
- crossing water instead of always following the shoreline
- acclimatizing to colder water temperatures (winter swimming and cold showers)

29-30-31/05/14 – Solo swim, staged, 3 days, 13 km
08/06/14 – Solo swim, 10 km
14-15/06/14 – Solo swim, staged, 2 days, 14 km
29/06/14 – Vikingesvøm, Roskilde (DK), 2,5 km – (cancelled because of sewer overflow)
02-03-04-05/07/14 – 4-stage swim from Copenhagen to Elsinore, approx. 40 km (cancelled due to not enough participants)
12/07/14 – Solo swim, Nivå-Elsinore, 10 km
17/07/14 – Solo swim, Elsinore-Ålsgårde, 6 km
24/07/14 – Solo swim, Gilleleje-Ålsgårde, 17 km
16/08/14 – Double crossing DK-SE (Elsinore-Helsingborg-Elsinore), 12 km
30/08/14 – Christiansborg Rundt (DK), 2 km
08/09/14 – Night swim, Esrum (DK), 2 km
04/10/14 – Travesía El Río, Lanzarote (E), 2,6 km
